What you do
As a Business Controller for Sioen, you will support the management team by being responsible for the controlling activities of the Apparel Division. Management of the division is steered from Belgium, with production entities in Indonesia, Myanmar, Tunesia, Romenia and Finland. You report hierarchically to the Group Controller in HQ (located in Ardooie) and functionally to the CEO of the division. In this challenging role you will be part of an international team of controllers and are part of the direction committee of the Apparel division.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Monthly reporting on P&L and Balance Sheet
- Coordinating the annual budget exercise and the quarterly forecast process
- Coordination with local finance responsibles in the production entities.
- Analyzing and reporting sales, cost prices and margins, production efficiency.
- Final responsibility for an accurate costing process, ensuring qualitative master data.
- Analyzing investment proposals and calculating the return on investment
- Being closely involved in financial and IT projects
- Initiating and supporting process improvement projects
- Acting as a sparring partner and offering support to the Division CEO as part of the division direction committee
Who you are
- You have a strong business acumen and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in audit and/or controlling
- You have a higher university degree, preferably in finance or economics (eg commercial engineer), and experience in a multi-national company.
- You are fluent in English, French and Dutch are mandatory
- You can work proficiently with Microsoft Office applications
- You are IT savvy, like working with business intelligence tools to extract information and ERP/SAP skills are an advantage
- You have strong analytical and process skills
- You have an independent, hands-on mentality with the ability to work in a cross-functional / cross-country environment, and have strong communication and team-working skills
- You are eager to learn and have a positive, enthusiastic and flexible mindset.
