What you do

Further expansion of our Asia Strategy
As the Asian region continues to expand and various sectors flourish, our objective is to harness this growth
potential for Sioen. We aim to achieve this by focusing on specific countries, developing product offerings that
cater to market demands, and cultivating strong strategic relationships. Today we’ve set in motion the buildup of this
market by setting up a logistic hub in Singapore and building the first relationships with customers. We currently,
already have customers for certain product ranges across 10 countries in Asia, but together, much more is possible

  •  Being responsible for the stellar support of our customers in the region. I.e.:
  •  Handling customer and prospect inquiries
  •  Handling customer complaints
  •  Making up and sharing quotations and business proposals
  •  Following up and ensuring smooth delivery of orders
  •  Following up payments by customers
  •  Requesting samples and marketing material on behalf of customers
  •  Helping with the development of forecasts
  •  Maintaining well organized customer files.
  •  Enabling the regional Business Development Team through:
  •  Extensive internal support
  •  Coordinating communications between the regional team and the different divisions in Europe.
  •  Helping with the execution of sales and marketing initiatives
  •  Sales support at fairs in the region
  •  Weekly reporting on key customer developments.
  •  Managing our warehouse in Singapore in excellent fashion i.e.:
  •  Ensuring short lead times by optimizing and managing the general logistical flow
  •  Coordinating communication with all the different stakeholders involved in the delivery and replenishment process
  •  Managing stock levels and replenishment in an intelligent and timely manner
  •  Ensuring the quality and good handling of all the items on stock.

Who you are

You have 3+ years of experience in a sales assistant, business development or sales role.

  •  You are very well organized and work in an extremely structured manner.
  •  You enjoy autonomy and take ownership of your responsibilities – You get the job done!
  •  You are curious and enjoy learning about highly technical products and their possible applications.
  •  You are a great communicator with the ability to clearly communicate feedback.
  •  You enjoy and utilize getting feedback from your colleagues.
  •  You excel as a team player and showcase exceptional interpersonal skills.
  •  You are highly punctual and disciplined in following up on prospects and customers.
  •  You are flexible, have a good work ethic and a positive growth mindset.
  •  You are proficient in Mandarin and English.
  •  You are proficient with business software and possess basic IT skills e.g. Microsoft Office Suite.
  •  Experience in managing logistics is a plus!

Onboarding Procedure:
- 3 weeks of training at our HQ in Belgium and factory in France to get to know the people, products and systems.
- 1 week of training at our warehouse to ensure a good understanding of the logistical processes.
- In person meetings with key customers in the region to understand the existing relationships and business.

Introduction

If the evaluation of your CV was positive, you will immediately receive an invitation for a first meeting with the HR Officer, Talent Manager or Chief HR.

First interview

In the first interview, our HR staff and/or a direct line manager determine how well you fit in at Sioen. For some positions, we do some additional tests.

Second interview

For certain positions a second interview is necessary. This interview is one with your immediate superiors, colleagues and/or CEO.

Contract proposal

Time to dot the i's and cross the t's! Our Chief HR makes you a contract proposal and together you discuss the conditions it contains.
