What you do
- Organize and coordinate the warehouse and quality inspection within one of the production departments in Ardooie.
- Follow up on the shipping schedule, create the planning for the cutting machine, manage packaging materials, and monitor and adjust quality objectives.
- Approve work instructions and task descriptions for various activities (warehouse, over-rolling machines, cutting) and ensure accuracy and optimization of inventory management. Take responsibility for the inventory count between Christmas and New Year.
- Close orders after quality control and report discrepancies to the Sales Team.
- Lead the team of warehouse employees and quality control operators to ensure efficient collaboration and execution of tasks, as well as oversee the (further) training, guidance, motivation, coaching, and support of (new) employees.
- Proactively propose and implement improvements in the logistics process flow and quality inspection.
- Participate in production meetings and report to the Production Manager.
Who you are
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree or have equivalent experience in an international production environment, preferably in a warehouse.
- Possess strong administrative skills and a basic knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Be practical, work in a structured manner, and have excellent organizational skills.
- Be a team player who values interpersonal relationships and is capable of leading and motivating a team of 20 people in close collaboration with the Production Manager.
- Have a strong sense of responsibility and ensure that standards and procedures regarding discipline, hygiene, order and cleanliness, quality, safety, and reporting are strictly adhered to.
- Have experience operating a forklift/reach truck and preferably hold the necessary certifications.
- Have a good command of Dutch, English, and French.
