What you do

As Junior Sales & Business Development Associate, you will play a key role in managing and expanding VTT’s presence in the European windbreaker and filtration markets. Based in Ardooie, Belgium, you will report directly to the Sales Director of the Sioen Technical Weaving Division.

  • Account Management: you are responsible for managing the current portfolio of accounts in the defined markets. You ensure exceptional service and communication, convert inquiries into orders, resolve complaints, and handle inventory management.
  • Business Development & Client Engagement: you build strong relationships with current clients, identify new opportunities, and connect with key stakeholders across various levels, including end-users and new prospects.
  • Market Insights & Reporting: you provide strategic insights on pricing, competitor products, and customer needs to the Sales Director. You share detailed visit reports and ensure all actions align with agreed strategies.
  • Trade Fair & Event Participation: you co-organize and represent the company at national and international trade fairs, open days, and sales meetings. You evaluate the market potential of products during these events.

 

Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years).
  • A background or affinity with industrial textiles, non-woven materials, yarns, high-performance materials, or composites is preferred. Knowledge of weaving is a plus.
  • You are highly sales-oriented and achieve optimal results through a structured project-based approach.
  • You have the ability to translate technical specifications into commercial opportunities.
  • You are communicative, diplomatic, and demonstrate strong persuasive skills and expertise.
  • You are creative, open-minded, solution-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • You have a good command of English and Dutch. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • You are willing to travel frequently (50%-60%).

Introduction

If the evaluation of your CV was positive, you will immediately receive an invitation for a first meeting with the HR Officer, Talent Manager or Chief HR.

First interview

In the first interview, our HR staff and/or a direct line manager determine how well you fit in at Sioen. For some positions, we do some additional tests.

Second interview

For certain positions a second interview is necessary. This interview is one with your immediate superiors, colleagues and/or CEO.

Contract proposal

Time to dot the i's and cross the t's! Our Chief HR makes you a contract proposal and together you discuss the conditions it contains.
